Muse was one of my closest friends whilst at FLHS. We were bandmates (Farley Bluff) along with Al Greenwood, Mark Bergman, Ray Dinneman and Neil Saccamano. Mike and I spent countless hours pouring over Beatles albums and learning their music. He was kind, gentle, strange and wonderfully different. I spent a bit of time with him in FLA back in 2010... Stan Bassell, he and I... what a lovely day we had. Fourens and I kept in touch via email and we never missed wishing each other a happy birthday. It came as such a shock when I received the message that Muse was in hospice and was quickly fading away. The memories of high school friends, though a half century ago, still brings me right back to being 17 again. I wish Muse and I were able to be closer in the later years but 3000 miles is a major schlepp.

I'll miss him...
