Additional Comments:
My best friend, John Barkowski died several years back. I think it was Palmari who called me with the news (can't remember his first name. I told him John was my best friend. He told me that Barkowski was everyone's best friend. He was.
He was the only person I know who would give you the shirt off his back. We chased many women together & had a great time hitting the clubs all over the 5 boroughs & Long Island. We rode our motorcycles in 0 degrees weather all over NYC.
I visited him in Indiana when he was with the plumbers union. Spent about 2 days there sleeping on the floor, & didn't talk to him for 2 yrs. We became friends again when we run into each other at Brother's Pizzeria.
When I moved to FL, he was the only one to come and visit me. Everyone else seemed to make new friends & forget their old ones.
I miss him tremendously.
